Gail Goes to India

The bridge to Mandram beach, very wobbley, worth the risk!
View of shore from Mandram beach, an old hotel or temple.
Lava rocks on Asvam beach.
A shopkeeper from the Arjuna Flea market. The woman in the traditional dress were the most aggressive salespeople.
Goa has the largest concentration of Christians in India.
This is an example of Indian fusion; a Christian cross with malas, a Hindu offering for the
divine. There were many interesting combinations of the two religions.
A traditional fishing boat on Mandram beach.

The yoga shala at Purple Valley, with one of the housekeeping staff.

Over the entrance of the shala.
An altar inside the shala.
View from inside the shala, looking out. There are double layers of mosquito netting at the doorway.
A Gansha with mala in the shala.
The back of the main house at Purple valley. The covered area is the dining space.
The front of the main house at Purple Valley. The main house remeinded me of a villa, very open and airy.
View of the Mandavi river, going towards Mandram and Asvem beach.
This is the road in front of purple valley. Those are the cows that wandered around it during the day.
Nancy Gilgoff and me.
Nancy on the patio with Sky, Purple Valley's web goddess.
Relaxing after practice; Dorothy from Scotland, Sasha from the UK, and that man of mystery in the back Frank from Hamburg. Nothing like tea before a stressfull day of sunbathing!

One of Nancy's excellent assistants Dalibar, with our lil puppy buddy.
