Thai Yoga TherapyThe distinguishing features of Thai Yoga Therapy lie in its approach to gently stretching and opening the body. This increases joint mobility and flexibility, therefore providing a greater range of motion. As muscular tension is slowly released, blood and energy can flow freely to the cells, tissues and organs. As well, the lymph system is stimulated, which helps support the body's natural detoxification process and boost its immune response. The free-flow of energy has positive effects both physically and psychologically. It helps release tension, opens and limbers up the entire body. By opening up the body, energy can flow more easily, which helps alleviate common problematic conditions such as lower back pain, arthritis, headaches, digestive difficulties, menstrual problems and stress-related conditions. Thai Yoga Therapy also generates a deep state of relaxation and promotes centeredness and well-being for both the client and the practitioner. In receiving Thai Yoga Therapy, one is also receiving the benefits of the practice of yoga. In the Lotus Palm method, practitioners also learn about yoga philosophy, including Ayurveda, and its application for both the client and themselves.
